The City of Poreč organizes agriculture information day that will be held on Monday, 19 December 2016, starting at 18.00 hours at the premises of the Business Incubator in Žbandaj.
The information day is intended for farmers and other interested persons who want to get information on a range of opportunities and support for agriculture from a variety of institutions and funds.
The participants will be presented with the following topics:
Fund for development of agriculture and agro-tourism in Istria
– “Fund for development of agriculture and agro-tourism Istria – funding opportunities in agriculture”
Local action group “Central Istria” (LAG)
– “Opportunities for development of farms through measures of LAG “Central Istria”
Parentium Consulting Ltd.
– “Introduction to funding opportunities for farmers from EU funds -“Rural development program” and other national programs
Information Day is free for all participants but prior registration is required and can be done by phone at 052/634-304 or via a form available on the website of the City of Poreč due to the limited number of participants.
The sweetest festival of the year – Pancake Festival for the third time opens its doors at the Pazin Memorial Home on Saturday 10/12/2016. from 10 to 22:30 hours.

As part of the project “Application of modern technologies in the advancment of Istria County agriculture” the professional agro-meteorological station was installed in Pazin.
Data collected by the station are publicly displayed in a simple interface adapted to the general population on the web page istramet.hr, and are relevant to most of the central Istria, in particular, for Pazin and Žminj. In addition to the basic parameters, users have available data on soil moisture which will significantly facilitate the planning of agricultural labor.
This project is the foundation for further development and expansion of the network of specialized agro-meteorological stations and education of farmers about the possibilities of using available data for rational use of resources in agriculture.
The project whose value is 15,000.00 kn was financed from the funds of the County of Istria.
On December 2 in Pazin’s Memorial Home organized by the Community of family tourism County Chamber Pula and the Administrative Department form Tourism of the Istria County the 3rd Regional Forum of family accommodation of the Istria County took place.
The participants of the Forum had the chance to listen and discuss many issues related to the improvement of their accommodation facilities and were thus among other things presented with training programs for jobs in the tourism industry of the Open University in Pazin, examples of good practice in the business of family accommodation Villa Gašparini , the possibility of financing projects through EU funds, etc.
Furthermore, all participant had the chance to hear all about the initiative for the protection of Pazinski cukerančić and of course to try this delicious pastry. This way it was emphasized the importance of creating an authentic stay based on local specifics and traditional produces, one of which is precisely cukerančić.
