(Hrvatski) Program ruralnog razvoja: Razvoj nepoljoprivrednih djelatnosti na ruralnom području (6.4.1.)
LAG “Central Istria” continues with the implementation of the ENSURE project from the Europe for Citizens Program. The 3rd meeting of the project partners was held in Spain, San Lorenzo de El Escorial, in the period from 6th to 8th of June with the organization Federacion de Municipio de Madrid – FMM as host. The meeting was focused on developing tools to establish the best quality links between local and European levels. Details of local action groups and local development strategies from this area were presented, which was an excellent opportunity to inspect the implementation of the Rural Development Program in other European countries. Partners also discussed possibilities of involving young people in European projects and international meetings and took part in a workshop aimed at developing topics and main objectives of new Erasmus+ projects.
After the public presentation of the basic elements of the future tourist development of the area of central Istria, LAG “Central Istria” has continued with the activities of the INSiGHTS project implemented under the INTERREG Danube program. At the moment, the final steps are being taken in the development of the integrated sustainable tourism strategy for the area of central Istria 2018-2025, and on this occasion, there was another workshop with local stakeholders involved in drafting the strategy. The workshop has presented the results of the so far conducted work and the stakeholders jointly discussed concrete development activities, some of which will be included as integral part of the strategy. In the forthcoming period, an additional workshop will be held to select and agree on details of their implementation.
LAG “Central Istria” together with The Development Company of Parnon S.A. as the lead partner and additional partners from Italy and Spain has started the preparation for the implementation of the project Malvasia Myth through the new Programming Period CLLD/LEADER 2014-2020. The aim of this cooperation is the emergence and spread of wine culture, as well as the interconnection of the tourist identity of the regions with their traditional products that have quality, reputation and are directly linked to the region for the development of gastronomic tourism. The partnership includes partners from Malvasia wine production areas and will be focused on the following actions: research and documentation, the creation of transnational brand Malvasia, electronic promotion, exchange of visits, events.
After the initial meeting of the partners in December 2017 in Monemvasia, Greece, partners met again from 17th to 20th of May in Parma, Italy with LAG del Ducato sconsri as the host. In addition to the project planning workshops and the tour of the important wine areas of the region, the event included the 23rd edition of the Malvasia Festival, which brought together many wine producers from Italy and partner countries. LAG “Central Istria” presented its’ region with malvasia wine of some of the most know producers – Damijanić, Benvenuti, Fakin, Arman, Ferenac together with Pazinski cukerančić. Partners had the chance to taste the wines, combine the wines with the traditional pastry as well as see and experience first hand its’ preparation which was acquainted as the Croatian intangible cultural good. The next meeting is planned for the spring of 2019 in Istria, Croatia during the famous Vinistra fair in Poreč.
